Gymnast Simone Biles recently revealed that she and her husband Jonathan Owens, an NFL safety for the Green Bay Packers, often discuss the struggles of their sports.
Biles has been invited as a guest on Peacock’s 2023 show Back to that yearhosted by Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart.
When Thompson playfully asked Biles who was the better athlete between the two, the US gymnast said the pair regularly found themselves arguing over the question and which sport was more demanding.
“I think we’re good at our sports,” the gymnast replied. “We tried to pin each other on difficulty and ability and all that stuff. So, at the end of the day, gymnastics is harder — whether he agrees or not. (At 2:55)
The four-time Olympic gold medalist said she excelled when she tried her hand at American football, while Owens, who was trying out gymnastics, could barely handle it.
“We fought about it a few times, and then we swore, once we got married, that we would never talk about it again. But it keeps coming up every time, but he did my workouts at the gym and he could barely do it.” That, and then I went to their NFL practice and beat him.
