Australian star Aaron Finch and Fox Cricket’s Mark Howard revealed a tense encounter with music star Mick Jagger during the recent World Cup in India, while England legend Michael Vaughan spoke about his hilarious interaction with Jagger at a party this year.
When asked about meeting the Rolling Stones singer, Finch told Fox Cricket: “I actually did, Howie convinced me after I needed a little courage. He had his hands in my back and pushed me up there.”
When asked for more details, Finch added: “It was amazing. Jagger was having dinner in one of the restaurants of the hotel where we were staying. Howie and I were lucky enough to be there.”

“He’s a bit humble, Aaron,” Howard said. “I’ve seen him do some brave things on the cricket pitch.
“Mick is a big cricket fan. I tested Vinci for half an hour (saying): ‘You’ve got to go out there and try to get us ahead’.”
“Show,” Adam Gilchrist interrupted we? So I was careful!
Howard replied, “You were right about the coat tails (Aaron)!” Vinci kept saying “No, no, no.” In the middle of nowhere, probably halfway down a beer, he got up and said “I’m doing it!” We made the rescue there.”
“A hundred miles an hour too, isn’t it!” Finch interjected.
Howard added: “We got to know the great man. I still think, Aaron, that this is the bravest thing I’ve ever seen you do.

Vaughan then added his own story about meeting Jagger this year and former England player Phil Tufnell re-enacted his infamous batting display against Shane Warne.
Tufnell, now a popular commentator in his own right, was given nightmares when he tried to hit the Australian great. Tufnell fell repeatedly in an Ashes match when trying to defend against Warne’s spin, with the Englishman clumsily trying to kick the ball wide.
“I had a funny situation in the summer (during) the Ashes,” Vaughan said. Not to mention names too much, but I was at a garden party with Mick Jagger.
“I had a few bottles – by the way Mick Jagger wasn’t a drinker but my good friend Phil Tufnell was.
“He was deep in a few bottles and decided to show Mick Jagger how to take on the late great Shane Warne around the wicket.
“But if anyone wants to have a little laugh, just go[online]and put ‘Phil Tufnell vs Shane Warne’.”
“At 11 o’clock at night, Phil was giving Mick Jagger a demonstration of how to kick it away, kick it around the wicket – and then fall while trying to bowl!”
