Murfreesboro, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee State volleyball team announced the signing of graduate transfer Kyra Booth. She will transfer from Villanova to Middle Tennessee for the 2024 season.
“We are extremely pleased to announce Kyra Booth’s commitment,” MTSU coach said. Chuck Crawford. “From the moment the staff and I began building our relationship with Kira, we knew how special a person she was. Kira is incredibly talented and will make an immediate impact on our team in all areas. We are very fortunate to have her as part of our program.”
In her four seasons with the Wildcats, the Berlin, Pennsylvania, native recorded 915 kills and 295 blocks. After her impressive performance last season, Booth earned an AVCA East Coast All-Region Honorable Mention. She is a two-time All-Big East selection in 2022 and 2023. Booth was named to the All-Tournament team in three of her four seasons at Villanova.
Prior to her college career, she totaled 2,000 kills and was named an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention. Kiera helped lead her team to a runner-up finish at PIAA Class A State and was named to the All-State team and District Player of the Year.
“I chose MTSU because I have never felt so welcomed by a group of people,” Booth said. “Knowing that these coaches and girls will always be on my side is something I appreciate, along with how important family is in their culture. I look forward to working with the coaches to improve my game and competing alongside my new teammates.”
