Pakistan team manager Mohammad Hafeez on Monday criticized the cricket pitch allocated to his team for their warm-up match against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra last week.
The four-day match between Pakistan and PM The land is 367/4.
The match ended earlier than scheduled due to rain in the capital on the fourth day.
“The disappointment is very high,” says Hafeez.
Hafeez said the decision to prepare such slow conditions for Pakistan was probably a tactical decision by Cricket Australia so that the batsmen and bowlers would not get used to the fast pitch at the WACA in Perth, where the first Test will be played from December. 14.
“This was the slowest stadium a visiting team could play on in Australia. As a team, we are really happy with our preparations because we met most of the requirements.”
“Everyone knows [the pitch wasn’t what we wanted]So there is no point in saying it over and over again and raising the issue with Cricket Australia. The disappointment was really big because we were not expecting this kind of arrangement.
Hafeez told reporters, “It may be a tactical matter, but we are prepared for it. We are not using it as an excuse. We are fully prepared to face the challenges ahead.”
