Fast bowler Otniel Bartman and all-rounder Andile Bhlokwayo have been ruled out of the rest of the One-Day International (ODI) series against India due to injury. While Bartman suffered a strain on his right side, Phehlokwayo suffered a similar injury to his left side during training.

Bartman is yet to make his debut for the Proteas, while Fehlokwayo, who made his international debut, has taken 91 wickets and scored 853 runs in 78 matches.

As a result, pacer Boran Hendricks was added to the team. India took a 1-0 lead with a comfortable eight-wicket win in the first ODI in Johannesburg. The Indian team players created chaos in the match as they bowled out the hosts for just 116 runs.

For India, Shreyas Iyer will miss the rest of the series as he left to join the Test team. The Test series will begin after the ODI series, starting December 26 at Centurion. As a result, one of Rinku Singh or Rajat Patidar will take his place in the starting XI.

The three-match T20 International (T20I) series before the ODIs ended 1-1.

South Africa lineup for India ODI clashes: Aiden Markram (c), Nandre Berger, Tony De Zorzi, Boran Hendricks, Reda Hendricks, Heinrich Klaassen, Keshav Maharaj, Mihlali Mbongwana, David Miller, Jan Mulder, Tabriz Shamsie, Rassie van der Dusen, Kyle Vereen, Lizad Williams.
