There will be a familiar face acting as an advisor to Farm Fresh as the Foxies have signed Japanese coach Hideo Suzuki to join the team in preparation for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season.
Suzuki was the architect behind Kurashiki Ablies’ championship win during the 2023 Invitational, defeating powerhouse Team Creamline in the finals last July to complete an unbeaten run.
Suzuki tends to bring experience and expertise to Farm Fresh where he will work closely with head coach Jerry Yee as well as a core led by setter Louie Romero, opposite hitter Trisha Tubu, and middle blocker Pia Ildefonso.
“We are thrilled to have Coach Hideo Suzuki join Farm Fresh as a team advisor,” Farm Fresh said. “His track record and coaching are assets that will undoubtedly elevate the team’s performance. We look forward to a season of growth and success under his guidance.” Team director Chiara Cruz in a statement.
Suzuki will join a Farm Fresh team that finished 10th during the 2nd All-Filipino Conference recently with a 2-9 record.
