MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Badger volleyball fans are rejoicing after Devin Robinson and Carolyn Crawford both announced their plans to play at Wisconsin for another year.
The two seniors announced their intentions to return to the court Friday as they each have another year of eligibility remaining due to the COVID exemption the NCAA provided to athletes who competed in the 2020-21 academic year.
Crawford announced her return on Instagram, saying in part: “Being able to wear Wisconsin on my chest has been a dream come true. I am very fortunate to have an extra year of eligibility to play the sport I love. I couldn’t be more excited and determined for next season. “There is still unfinished business.”
“Tell a friend to tell a friend… #Year5,” Robinson announced on Friday evening
Wisconsin finished another impressive season 30-4 and finished second in the Big Ten before reaching the Final Four for the fourth time in five seasons. The team ranked third in the final AVCA poll.
