The NCAA Volleyball Regional Championships are done and dusted, and it’s semifinal day. After some intense and nerve-wracking games, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Pittsburgh Panthers, Texas Longhorns and Wisconsin Badgers advanced to the semifinals.
The Cornhuskers, who have won five previous championships, will face the Panthers in what is expected to be an exciting game. The Bates are making their third straight semifinal appearance, but they have yet to reach the final of the NCAA Volleyball Championships.
The two teams last faced off in 2021 in an NCAA quarterfinal showdown, where Nebraska prevailed. Coming into this game, the Huskers were once again the favorite to win, having done a great job all season with only one loss to speak of.
Meanwhile, the defending champion Texas Longhorns certainly look intimidating heading into the semifinals against the Wisconsin Badgers. The Longhorns were the team behind the biggest upset this season, knocking off top-seeded Stanford at home in California.
The Badgers, on the other hand, are favorites to win the title, with the likes of Big Ten Player of the Week, Sarah Franklin, representing their team. Wisconsin last won the NCAA volleyball championship in 2021 and will be eager to reclaim its title.
NCAA Volleyball Championship Final Four Schedule
The Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Pittsburgh Panther is the first of two semifinal games and is scheduled for Thursday, December 14 at 7 p.m. ET.
Following them on the field are the Texas Longhorns and Wisconsin Badgers, who will tip off action at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET.
