Montana State Senior Keira Thompson He continued to rack up postseason accolades as the Parker, Colo., product earned Volleyballmag.com All-America honors on Friday, as provided by the Professional Volleyball Association.
Thomsen, a 5-10 outside hitter, was a unanimous First Team All-Big Sky Conference selection after leading the league in kills and points. She led MSU’s late-season run that culminated in the Fab Four National Invitational Volleyball Tournament — the furthest a Big Sky team has advanced in postseason play. For her efforts, she was named to the All-NIVC Tournament Team.
Thompson rewrote the Bobcat record book during her time on the Blue and Gold team and finished first in kills (1,688) and total attacks (4,827), and in the top 10 in digs (1,215) and aces. (158). She also ranked in the top five in Big Sky Conference history in kills and steals.
