Florida gymnastics star Trinity Thomas is among the top 10 NCAA Day award recipients for 2024, according to a news release from the school on Friday.
Honorees are selected by the NCAA Honor Committee, which is composed of representatives of NCAA member schools, conferences and distinguished citizens, including past award recipients.
“I’m truly honored to be named in this year’s NCAA Top 10. It’s humbling to be mentioned in this class because they’re all great people,” Thomas said. “My time as a Gator has been incredibly rewarding, and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way. Thank you Gator Nation for your support over these five amazing years and the NCAA for this honor.”
The award honors student-athletes for their successes on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Recipients have completed their athletics eligibility during the 2022-23 academic year and will be honored at the NCAA Conference Welcome and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona.
