The CAL volleyball season is well in the rearview mirror, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to honor local athletes who shine on the court.
In total, 12 athletes were named to the All-CAL first team this fall, and four of them came from Daily News area schools. After helping Newburyport (14-8) reach the Division III round of 16, both are seniors out of the tournament. Zoe Calitri And junior libero Nora Girlings He got the nod. Ipswich, which won its third straight Division 4 state championship, led all teams with three All-CAL selections.
Moving on to the second CAL All-Star team of 11, five local athletes were recognized. Newburyport once again led the way with their senior duo Audrey Loughran And young Olivia FoleyThey both enjoyed great seasons in the front row.
