The Golden Bears’ All-Americans are having strong seasons
berkeley – A student in his second year of studies Emjay Frazier And young Mia Lauzon California’s No. 7 women’s gymnastics team has been named to the Pac-12 preseason watch list, the conference announced Monday.
Fraser burst onto the scene her junior year, helping the Golden Bears to a historic year that included the program’s first regional final title and a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She earned NCAA All-American Second Team honors in the all-around, vault and floor and broke the program’s all-around mark twice last season. Frazier also became the first Bear to earn a Perfect 10 on floor exercise and was named a WCGA First Team All-American in the event as well.
This is Frazier’s second Pac-12 preseason nod, as she was named to the Newcomer Watch List last year.
Lauzon had a sophomore campaign a season ago, setting the Cal program mark with a perfect first 10 for the Bears on balance beam and tying the program’s all-around mark in the same competition with a 39.700. She earned regular-season and NCAA All-American honors on vault and balance beam and became the first Bear to win a Pac-12 title on beam.
The 2024 season begins the weekend of Jan. 5 when the Bears head to the Super 16 in Las Vegas for the second straight year.
