Gymnastics: Seniors stand out as third-place Willmar Cardinals - West Central Tribune

WILLMAR – Senior Lindy Cossman led a strong outing for the Willmar gymnastics team at St. Louis. Cloud Team Pride Meet at St. Cloud Tech High School.

The Cardinals finished third in the quadrangle with a score of 136,000. Cambridge-Isanti won with 142.250, followed by host St. John’s. Cloud Crush at 139,300. Egan came in fourth with a score of 134.700.

Koosman placed first on the floor exercise with a 9.45 and the vault with a 9.2. Koosman finished tied for second in the all-around with Eagan’s Gilly Eklund. They both received a total score of 36.45.

Carly Brown of Willmar placed sixth in the all-around with a total of 34.2. Kylie Burtin was eighth with 32.7, and Mallory Pierre was ninth with 32.4.

Aubrey Wilson of Cambridge-Isanti was the all-around champion with a 36.8. She won on balance beam (9.55) and uneven bars (9.05).

The Cardinals host a Crush for a Central Lakes Conference dual meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Willmar High School.
