With no senior players on the roster, the Nebraska women’s volleyball team is quickly setting goals and pointing toward a national title next year after losing Sunday afternoon to Texas in the NCAA women’s volleyball national championship game at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
It was only the second loss of the season for the Big Red, which was in contention for its sixth national championship.
The 2023 Nebraska volleyball team kicked off the season in the heat of late August with a record crowd of 92,000 at Nebraska Memorial Stadium, an evening that will forever be remembered, winning the Big Ten Championship, while impressing legions of fans in a run to Tampa Bay and the Final Four.
