MANILA, Philippines — Farm Fresh hasn’t had the best All-Filipino conference in the Volleyball Premier League, but that may soon change.
In an effort to improve after a very poor conference, the Foxies hired Hideo Suzuki as a team consultant.
Suzuki was known to PVL fans for his triumphant coaching of the Kurashiki Apples, which won the 2023 Conference Invitational against Creamline in the finals.
Team principal Chiara Cruz expressed her delight at Suzuki’s signing, saying he would “undoubtedly raise” the team’s performance.
“We are thrilled to have Coach Hideo Suzuki join Farm Fresh as a team advisor. His proven track record and coaching are assets that will undoubtedly raise the team’s performance level,” said Cruz.
“We look forward to a season of growth and success under his leadership.”
Farm Fresh finished at the bottom of the standings in the All-Filipino Conference with a modest 2-9 record.
Suzuki is set to be assisted by veteran mentor Jerry Yee with the young Foxies.
