KKR coach praises Rinko
Fortunately, Rinku Singh has reaped the results of his hard work as his amazing stint in the Indian Premier League helped him break into the national team. Moreover, one can say that Renko’s net worth has also increased slightly.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer and KKR assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, who has watched Singh’s development closely, detailed how the batsman transformed himself into a lethal force.
In an interview dating back to the last IPL season, Nayar recalled how shy and unsure of himself Rinku Singh was when he first arrived at KKR. But the thirst for learning made him an outstanding beginner.
“The first time I saw him in the KKR Foundation, and I spent time with him when he came to Mumbai, he was very shy and a guy who had very low self-confidence. Overall, Rinku Singh was a great story – a rags-to-riches kind of story,” Abhishek Nayar told PTI. “What – but with a lot of hard work and perseverance.”
Nayar also added that Rinku Singh’s story of excellence can be categorized as a rags to riches story. He came up with nothing, and the knee injury he suffered two years ago led critics to write him off.
During that crucial period, Abhishek Nayar acknowledged the KKR management’s faith and unconditional support towards the batter.
“Two years ago, after he had knee surgery, I felt a lot of people didn’t believe he could do what he’s doing today. “But kudos to the KKR management and everyone involved in supporting him and his team. “A lot of credit goes to Rinko for working hard to improve his game and achieve what he is achieving today,” added Nayar.
Nayar referred to Rinku Singh as a lively personality within the dressing room. He is a man of few words but always smiling no matter the circumstances. Nayar’s quality of facing every adversity with a smile swayed him as he recalled the batsman’s journey to excellence.
“He’s an unbelievable guy in the dressing room and the general, he’s happy, always smiling and happy with other people’s performances. He’s someone you can share your performances (with). He’s always that happy.” He added: “Lucky kid and absolute artist.”
Rinku Singh rose to fame after he scored five knocks against Gujarat Titans to lead his team to a thrilling victory last season. He later backed it up with several notable performances to earn a national call-up.
Interestingly, Rinku Singh managed to replicate the same form against Ireland as he smashed 38 runs off 21 balls on his debut in national colours. With the T20 World Cup just around the corner, the stakes are high for Rinku to make a profound impact in the impending IPL season.
