Former Team USA gymnast and current Louisiana State University Tigers Olivia Dunn sarcastically shut down a fan’s blatant attempt to flirt with her in the comments of a recent Instagram post.

The 21-year-old has become a social media personality since joining TikTok, which has seen her fame outside the gym skyrocket. While all of her posts were filled with all kinds of responses from fans, she couldn’t stop herself from responding to the person who made a blatant attempt to flirt with her. It read “Try to be that bar” and Livvie replied:

“It’s a beam.”

Olivia Dunn was born in 2002 in New Jersey and began training gymnastics in 2005 at ENA Gymnastics, at the age of three.

She made her debut at the 2014 American Classic, where she placed 28th in the all-around and then at the US Classic, where she placed 12th in the all-around. In March 2017, she was selected for the national team to compete in the Joselu City Cup, where she made her international debut and finished sixth in the all-around. It went big in 2018.

Dunne joined TikTok in 2020, initially sharing videos of her gymnastics but soon adding other aspects of her life, resulting in global fame on the social media platform.

In February 2023, she became the most followed NCAA athlete on social media, with more than 7 million followers on TikTok and more than 4 million on Instagram.

Is TikTok really banning LSU gymnast Olivia Dunn?

While LSU Tigers gymnast and social media personality Olivia Dunn has risen to new heights of fame thanks in large part to TikTok, recent reports indicate that she has been banned by the platform.

According to a report from David Hookstead, Dunne recently commented on one of her videos, asking:

“Why am I shadow banned?”

A shadow ban is when a user is banned from a social media site without their knowledge, usually by making their comments and posts no longer available to others. Dunne has over 7.8 million followers on TikTok and according to Hockstead, this claim is backed up by clear numbers.
