Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students from La Renaissance Catholic School in Espanola were among many students from 15 Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon schools who gathered at Champlain Catholic High School in Chelmsford earlier this month to participate in the fifth and sixth grade volleyball tournament. .
The tournament provided students with a friendly competitive experience, encouraged the development of athletic skills and enhanced student participation.
The Al Nahda youth team also performed very well and qualified for the semi-finals.
Teams from the following CSC Nouvelon schools competed in this friendly tournament: Ste-Marie (Azilda), Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford); Saint-Etienne (Dowling), La Renaissance (Espanola), Saint-Augustin (Garçon), Notre-Dame (Hanmer), Saint-Paul (Lively), Saint-Antoine (Noelville), Felix Ricard (Sudbury), Saint-Denis (Sudbury), and Saint-Dominique (Sudbury), St. Joseph (Sudbury), St. Pierre (Sudbury), Jean-Paul II (Val-Caronne), Ste-Thérèse (Val-Thérèse).
