MANILA, Philippines – The Premier Volleyball League will try to continue its successful 2023 season as it will hold three conferences next year starting with the first of two All-Filipino Conferences on February 17.
The league has had an overwhelming success this year which was highlighted by a record crowd of 24,459 in the second game of the PVL All-Filipino Conference win for Creamline over Choco Mucho just over a week ago.
A single-round robin system will be implemented in the playoffs, with the top four teams advancing to a single-round robin semi-final, where the winners advance to the championship round.
Next season will also see the return of the enhanced conference, which will be combined with the invitational conference, after it was temporarily canceled this year due to scheduling conflicts.
Two foreign teams will still participate in the conference, while local clubs will be allowed to field one foreign player each.
The conference will also not allow members of the national team to join it so that they can focus on their training.
The format will feature the field split into two groups playing in one round with the top four from each bracket advancing to the quarter-finals by knockout.
The season will then conclude with another Filipino tilt kicking off on December 19 which will use the same format as the first season.
After a short Christmas break, the 2025 season will open on January 25 of that year.
