MADISON (WKOW-WAOW-WSAU) – For the fourth time in the past five years, the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team is headed to the Final Four. The Badgers defeated Oregon 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 25-27, 25-18) on Saturday night to earn their spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The Badgers were led by Big Ten Player of the Year Sarah Franklin. I killed 20 people a night. Temi Thomas-Ailara, who was in her first-ever season after transferring from Northwestern, added 11 kills. Anna Smric was the other Badgers player in double figures with 10 kills.
The semifinals begin on Thursday in Tampa, Florida.
