
KELOWNA – The UBC Thunderbirds continued their hot streak with a second straight 3-0 win (25-15, 25-12, 25-21) on the road against the UBCO Heat (1-13) on Saturday.
The Birds are flying high right now, having won nine of their last 10 games, including the last six. They’re doing so in decisive fashion too, with five of their six wins coming 3-0 during the current winning streak. The Heat are stuck on a losing streak, having lost 12 straight.
In the first set, the two teams traded points early until the Thunderbirds ran out on a 5-0 run that gave them the lead for good.
