12 players listed to represent Nigeria in the 2024 All Africa Games qualifiers

The head coach of the Nigerian women’s volleyball team, Samuel Ajayi, announced the names of 12 players to compete in the qualifiers for the upcoming African Games. Lagos,Nigeria.

The 2024 African Games qualifiers are scheduled to be held from January 4 to 8 at the National Stadium in Lagos.

The Nigerian national volleyball team has a dual ambition of qualifying and winning a medal at the All Africa Games in Ghana.

The last time Nigeria secured a podium finish was when the country hosted the All Africa Games in 2003.

Ajayi has chosen to mix experience and youth, with a roster that includes five regular players, five under-21 players and two under-17 players.

Ijeoma Okpabi was chosen to captain the team while Jumai Petros was appointed as the newly selected assistant captain.
