England’s opener Danielle White, along with Nat Shaver-Brunt, managed to take the game away from the Indian team who were looking to pile on the pressure on England with a quick two-wicket loss at the hands of Renuka Singh.
Wyatt and Sciver-Brunt managed to hit 75 and 77 respectively to help the comeback in the innings. Amy Jones was able to help end the first innings strongly with a quick 23 runs off just 9 deliveries.
India will be looking to bounce back as they aim to improve their record at home.
Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur aims to lead the team as she eyes the grand prize of the Women’s T20 World Cup as well in the future and hopes to utilize the bilateral matches as well to prepare for the big tournament.
