Klemeyer was named All-Academic All-Area-Athletics at the Naval Academy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy volleyball player Anna Klemmer She earned Academic All-Region honors for her sport from College Sports Communicators, formerly known as the College Sports Information Directorate of America (CoSIDA).

It advances to the national ballot to select the Academic All-America teams, which will be announced in January.

All-district recipients must be at least a sophomore in the semester, carry a minimum GPA of 3.50 and be a major contributor to the team. A committee then evaluated each of the winners across all regions and selected the most deserving of advancing to the national ballot.

Kleimeyer, a senior computer science major, has a 3.93 GPA at the start of the fall semester of 2023. Kleimeyer ranked 65th in her class on the Overall Merit Order and has a 4.00 GPA in two semesters.

On the field, the middle hitter ranks second in the league and 79th nationally with a school-record .365 hitting percentage this season. She collected more than half of her career kills (183 of 365) this season and recorded a career-best 87 blocks.
