KC’s transfer commitment to Columbia comes from Texas A&M

Free agent/defensive specialist Alaina Persson has become Dawn Sullivan’s first offseason transfer commitment, according to her announcement today on Instagram.
Pearson appeared in 17 games and 36 sets that season for Texas A&M as a freshman and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Her best game of the season came against Auburn in College Station, recording nine digs and two digs.

Pearson was a popular recruit out of high school, but saw limited action in her time with the Aggies. While her path to playing as a free agent is blocked by Maia Sands, there will be an open spot with the departure of defensive specialist Lauren Forbes. Pearson will likely be looked at to bolster his regular rotation depth while slotting in as a serving substitute and member of the back row.
