Cricket Australia is set to liven up the upcoming Boxing Day Test by unveiling the stunning Pakistan Fan Zone outside Gate 4 of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
This three-day activation is set to elevate the viewers’ experience, offering a harmonious blend of cricket, culture and entertainment.
It is worth noting that traditional Char Pai (woven beds) will be arranged for fans to relax and enjoy the game in a traditional setting outside the MCG. A fan rally is also scheduled to take place on the first day of the Test, providing an opportunity for ardent Pakistan fans to show their unwavering devotion to the visiting side.
There is a special strip-ball cricket match on the agenda, adding an element of traditional street cricket to the festive atmosphere. To cater to diverse culinary preferences, the fan zone will feature a Desi halal food truck, ensuring an impressive array of flavors for attendees.
Throughout the three days of activation, attendees can immerse themselves in engagement areas designed to enhance their overall match day experience. The entertainment lineup culminates with a live show by the talented Faisal Amlani on the first morning, just before the first ball is bowled.
For those who want a more relaxed viewing experience, “The Outfield” offers a designated area equipped with lounge chairs, bean bags and picnic rugs. This space caters to fans seeking respite from the sun or those who prefer to stay close to the action outside the stadium.
