ORLANDO — Nebraska volleyball’s Skyler Pierce was named Most Valuable Player at the Under Shield’s next All-America meet, which was held Tuesday in Orlando.
28 top high school students participated in the match
Pierce, from Olathe (Kane) Northwestern High School, had 17 kills with a hitting percentage of .536. Pierce had five kills in seven swings in the fifth set as she helped her team, Team Fire, defeat Team Ice 23-25, 26-24, 22-26, 27-25, 15-9.
Mia Tvrdy of Papillion-La Vista, who played for Team Ice, finished the match with two kills.
