LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Fans gathered at the Lincoln Airport on Monday to welcome the Nebraska volleyball team after its trip to Tampa, Florida.
The No. 2-ranked Texans swept the No. 1 Huskers in the national championship game at Amalie Arena on Sunday.
Nebraska defeated Long Island University, Missouri State, Georgia Tech, Arkansas and Pittsburgh en route to the championship game.
The Huskers finished their season 33-2.

They started the year by setting a world record for attendance at a women’s sporting event when 92,003 people attended a game at Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska also won its first Big Ten title since 2017.
John Cook was named AVCA Coach of the Year for his leadership of the team, which had no seniors on the roster.
