LOWELL, MI (WJMN) – West End Gymnastics traveled to Lowell, Michigan to compete in the Holiday Handsprings Invitational this weekend. Being a new team, they faced stiff competition and held their own against more established teams who had several top ten finishes.

Standouts included Bronze athlete Adalyn Brugman who was the youngest competitor in the event, Silver athlete Saoirse Talbot who placed fourth on the uneven bars, and Gold team leader River Bird who posted the highest all-around score of the day with a 38.25 (out of 40.0).

These athletes will have a few weeks off before traveling to compete in Ludington in February.

Located on Iron Street in Negaunee, West End Gymnastics Center offers competitive and recreational gymnastics for boys and cheerleading for ages 1 through adults. For more information about any of their programs, email Coach Bridget Johnson at CoachBridget@westendgymnastics.com.
