In a recent interview with Peacock, American gymnast Simone Biles spoke about her husband, soccer player Jonathan Owens. The interviewer asked: Who is the best athlete in your opinion? Biles replied:
“I think we’re good at our sports. We tried to pin each other down in the face of adversity and ability and all that stuff. So, at the end of the day, gymnastics is harder, whether he agrees or not.”
Simone Biles’ response comes after Jonathan Owens’ recent appearance Pivotal Podcast He revealed that he was never interested in gymnastics and admitted that he did not know about his wife’s success before they started dating.
The footballer was criticized online for not being supportive when he said he was the “catch” in the relationship.
When Kevin Hart asked Biles during the interview:
“Let’s go back to what you just said, which is that gymnastics is a lot harder, and it seems like there’s been a house fight for some time, do you want to get into it now? Maybe I’ll make it clearer?”
Simone Biles replied:
“We fought about it a few times, and then we swore, once we got married, that we would never talk about it again, but it keeps coming up every time. But he did my workouts at the gym, and he can barely do them.”
