MANILA – After leaving PLDT, Mich Morente founded a new Premier Volleyball League (PVL) team – the Petro Gazz Angels.
Petro Gazz announced the development in a post on social media, saying Morente would help the team “reach our desired destination”.
“Your high energy will definitely lead us to our desired destination! We are happy to have an angel named Momo! Hello, Mish Morente!” Read the welcome statement.
Morente joins former F2 Cargo Movers Joy Dacoron and Ethan Arce, who recently joined the Angels for the upcoming 2024 season, but the team also lost veteran outfielder Grethcel Soltones.
The former De La Salle University football player played 22 sets in the last PLDT conference but scored just five points on four attacks and a block.
The Gazz Angels are looking for a better finish after a failed campaign in the All-Filipino Conference II in sixth place.
