Young gymnast Jordan Chiles recently shared her thoughts on receiving criticism about her appearance. The 22-year-old revealed that she was bullied because of her appearance but eventually learned how to deal with them.
In 2021, Chiles spoke out about how her coach insulted her body and verbally abused her before being selected to the Team USA squad. Over time, the young gymnast learned to accept herself and worked to improve herself. However, the criticism did not leave Jordan Chiles behind even after she became a public figure.
Recently, during an interview with Business Insider, Chiles revealed that the idea of changing her appearance because of other people’s viewpoints seemed “kind of crazy” to her. She decided to take her mother’s advice to accept herself.
