Tripura: Deepa Karmakar, a highly skilled gymnast hailing from Tripura, made a remarkable comeback by winning three medals at the National Senior Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Bhubaneswar. The tournament was held at the Gymnastics Center located inside the Kalinga Stadium where Karmakar showed her exceptional prowess on the third day of the tournament.
After an eight-year hiatus from competitive gymnastics, Olympian Deepa Karmakar showcased her exceptional skills by winning gold in the all-around category. She also took silver medals in the Vault and Uneven Bars events in the women’s competition – a testament to her successful comeback in national gymnastics.
Pranati Das of Railways was the highlight of the gymnastics event, displaying exceptional skills and shining like a star in the competition. With gold medals won on uneven bars and floor exercise, Pranati has shown her versatility with amazing talent. In addition to these accomplishments, she also placed second overall in the women’s events – another accomplishment to add to her growing list of accomplishments.
The Railways continued to dominate the tournament, helped in no small part by Pranati Nayak’s impressive contributions. In particular, her gold medal win in Vault and bronze place in Balance Beam highlighted her exceptional performance.
