Burslem Gymnastics Center in Stoke-on-Trent makes a successful return

Burslem Gymnastics Center in Stoke-on-Trent, which was previously closed due to prohibitive maintenance costs, has made a triumphant return at its new site, Dimensions Leisure Centre. The move, necessitated by the City Council’s announcement of a $1.85 million maintenance fee, was met with initial objections from users over concerns it would potentially downsize the equipment. However, the relocation plan worked, turning the bleak prospect of closure into a prosperous new beginning.

Positive reception despite the changes

The newly opened facility received nods of approval from attendees. Although the center lost the trampoline and foam pit area during the move, it made up for it by purchasing new sets. Coach, Matthew Rowleyacknowledged the loss but highlighted the positive impact of the new equipment.

New home with added amenities

Being a permanent shift, the transfer provides more than just space for gymnastics. Dimensions Leisure Center offers a range of amenities that parents and children will enthusiastically embrace. Facilities such as the health club and swimming area are now at the disposal of gymnastics center patrons.

Full classes and increased accessibility

The center, which serves gymnastics enthusiasts as young as three years old, was able to fill all its classes through taster sessions. Parent Hannah Weal extolled the virtues of the new setup, emphasizing the convenience of the viewing area, swimming pool, play area and café. The new location not only maintained the vibrant gymnastics program, but also broadened its appeal to a wider audience.
