Kuwait City, December 24: In an exciting confrontation, Al-Arabi defeated its guest Burgan by a score of 3-2 in the final round of the First Division of the Volleyball League. The intense competition saw Kuwait defeat Al-Tadamon 3-0, and Kazma also achieved a similar victory over Yarmouk 3-0.

Kuwait maintained its flawless record, as it continues to lead the standings with 25 points. With this victory, Al Arabi raised its score to 19 points, equal to Burgan, while Yarmouk’s score froze at 10 points, and Al Tadamon trailed behind with 6 points.

With the top four teams qualifying for the semi-finals, the stage is set for exciting clashes. The first will face the fourth, and the second will face the third in a “decider” system that includes three matches in the semi-finals. The winners will then qualify for the final, following the same system.

The confrontation between Al-Arabi and Burgan was intense throughout. Burgan dominated the first half, taking a 25-16 lead. But Al-Arabi came back strongly to lead in the second half 25-22. The Greens continued their momentum in the third period, dominating with a score of 25-11. Although Burgan won in the fourth game (25-21), Al-Arabi won in the tie-break, achieving a decisive victory 15-5. This well-deserved victory temporarily places Al-Arabi in third place.

In the second match, Kuwait faced challenges from Al-Tadamon, but achieved victory in three rounds with a score of 26-24, 25-14, and 25-22. After that, Kazma concluded its match against Yarmouk in three matches, achieving victories with scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-18.
