Channel 2 crushes West Dam legends in 40-year-old 'Jits and Neelam' cricket tournament

Channel No. 2 Sports Club demolished Western Demerara Legends by 204 runs when the 40-over “Jits and Neelam” cricket tournament continued on Sunday at the No. 2 Channel Sports Club Stadium.

Batting first, the home team were bowled out for 271, with Narendra Persaud leading with 126. Vishwanoth Jadunath and Yogendra Singh each added 40 and 36 runs. Bowling for the Legends team, Avinash Shardandan scored 5-38, while Imtiaz Sadiq scored 2-46.

In response, the West Demerara Legends were bowled out for 67, with Joshua Rahman scoring 5-11, while Emmanuel Martin added 3-3. Tikoo Safeek and Chris Mangal were the only batsmen to reach double figures with 19 and 12 runs each.
