LINCOLN — Former Nebraska volleyball player Whitney Lowenstein — who left the Husker program and sat out the 2023 season — will return to the sport at rival Texas.
The Waverly graduate played her first two seasons at NU before sitting out the 2023 season. She has two years of eligibility remaining.
While playing right side for the Huskers in 2022, she ranked second on the team in kills with 297. She was also one of the Huskers’ top blockers and led the team in aces with 28. She earned all-district honors.
Texas has won the past two national championships after beating Nebraska on Sunday.
