Dipa Karmakar returns to the top of the all-around event

Deepa Karmakar, Olympic athlete, attracted attention during the second day of the National Senior Artistic Gymnastics Championships by taking first place in the all-around performance, collecting a total of 49.55 points on Wednesday. In the women’s team category, Railways won the championship title with 182.60 points, while Maharashtra secured second place with 169.95 points. West Bengal finished third with 166.80 points at the Gymnastics Center at Kalinga Stadium. Host Odisha finished the competition in fourth place with a total of 164.65 points.

Her scores were 13.40 on the Vault, 10.65 on the uneven bars, 13.10 on the balance beam, and 12.40 on the floor exercise. Pranati achieved scores of 12.80 on the Vault, 10.60 on the uneven bars, 11.50 on the balance beam, and 12.10 on the floor exercise. Meanwhile, Swastika, another teammate, scored 12.80 on the Vault, 9.15 on Uneven Bars, 11.70 on Balance Beam, and 11.65 on floor exercise. The final day of the tournament on Thursday will witness the participation of individual gymnasts in the men’s and women’s categories.
