New Delhi: Delhi Capitals finally won the bidding war as they snapped up the services of Australian Annabel Sutherland, who has a base price of Rs 40 lakh, for a whopping Rs 2 crore in 2024 WPL Auction In Mumbai on Saturday.

There was a huge war between the Indians of Mumbai and Delhi, and the latter turned out to be the winner in the end.
Phoebe Litchfield was the first player to go under the hammer at the WPL 2024 auction. Gujarat Giants And Up Warriors Fight hard for the Australian all-rounder whose base price is Rs 30 lakh. Gujarat eventually sealed the deal and acquired Litchfield’s services for Rs 1 crore.
Uncapped India Vrinda Dinesh has been sold to UP Warriorz for a whopping Rs 1.3 crore, which is 13 times its base price of Rs 10 lakh. Gujarat Giants spent a staggering Rs 2 crore for Indian off-spinner Kashvee Gautam – 20 times her base price of Rs 10 lakh.
A total of 165 players registered for the tournament Women’s Premier League 2024 Auction (WPL). The auction list includes 104 Indian players and 61 foreign players, 15 of whom are from affiliate countries.
There are 30 places available for the five teams, of which nine are reserved for international players.
