
Penn State opens its season on Thursday against Central State but before the game began, it announced a new hire to the coaching staff.
The Nittany Lions announced they will hire Mike Kraft from Lock Haven University as an assistant coach.

During his one-year tenure with Lock Haven, Kraft transformed the program and led the Bald Eagles to their first PSAC Tournament appearance since 2015.
The team improved by 10 wins from the previous year and allowed Kraft to be voted PSAC East Coach of the Year.
