Prague launched the Sports Week (Týden sportu zdarma) project under which residents have free access to sports facilities.

The city authorities, headed by Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda, indicated that residents can choose different offers from clubs and sports venues that will be available in the last week of the year.

Among the traditionally available disciplines are badminton, squash, beach volleyball, floorball, table tennis, football, swimming, fitness, climbing, hockey and others.

The Education and Sports Advisor noted that “Prague has prepared a small Christmas gift for all sports fans in the form of a week of sports in all types of sports fields, completely free of charge.”

He pointed out that it provides an opportunity to try a new sport, regain physical fitness after Christmas, and practice more physical activity, calling on residents to take advantage of the offers.

More than 30 sports venues have registered for the project so far, with city authorities confirming that more venues can still apply. Last year, 47 locations participated in the project and residents were allowed to try more than 60 sports.

Prague stressed that tens of thousands of residents have benefited from the offers in recent years, noting that the places offer less common activities and sports, including mini golf, climbing, hockey, and others.

The city authorities indicated that the project is being implemented in cooperation with clubs and venues, and concluded that the details are available on the official website.

The list of available sports centers and their opening hours is gradually updated on the website Official Website The campaign is available at this link, and advance reservations are required to participate in some of them.
