LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State gymnastics team ran its 2024 routines on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise in competition form at the annual Blue and White meet on Friday.

“I was excited to see our student-athletes come out and perform the routines they had been practicing all preseason.” Utah State head coach Christine White said. “It was a good first test to see where we are in preparation for the season, and I’m really looking forward to the hard work they will put in in the last few weeks before the Christmas break. When we come back it’s time to leave, so I’m very excited to see the effort they can put in and prepare for this year. ”

Instead of having a blue and white team this year, one team had a full roster for each course and was judged on its own event, while the other team’s event consisted of display routines. This format simulates in-season competition.

The Aggies will compete in the Mountain West Conference this year as the league announced the addition of women’s gymnastics to the list of sponsored sports. Utah is joined by former Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference member Boise State, as well as Air Force and San Jose State for conference competition.

Utah State officially opens its season on the road at North Carolina for a quad meet on Friday, January 5. Along with the Aggies and host Tar Heels, Rutgers and Ball State will join the contest, which begins at 5:30 p.m. (MT). ).

The Aggies will begin the home portion of their schedule on Friday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m., when they welcome Air Force to Spectrum.

Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.UtahStateAggies.com.
