World number one and former WTA tennis legend Chris Evert recently praised Nadia Comaneci for the way the latter welcomed the new year.

Evert is widely considered one of the best tennis players to ever grace the court, having won 18 major titles. She holds the record for most French Open wins, with 7, and was one of the most dominant forces in tennis during most of the 1970s and 1980s.

Meanwhile, Nadia Comaneci is considered a legend in gymnastics, being the first athlete to record a perfect score of ten. The Romanian has nine Olympic medals, five of which are gold, along with a few World Championship medals.

Chris Evert responded to a video posted on X by Comanesi’s husband, Bart Conner, in which the gymnast is seen dancing as she welcomes the new year. Comanesi appeared in the video wearing black leather pants and a gray full-sleeved shirt. She also wore a matching hat to perfect her outfit.

Everett wrote on X, suitably impressed by the dance:

“Hot mom 🔥.”

This is not the first time Romanian gymnast Chris Evert has wowed. Back in 2022, Comanesi shared a small video, where she can be seen doing some stretching exercises to warm up her body, writing,

“Warm up… stretching… flexibility… a little movement… stimulation… no tooth.”

Evert was amazed by her movements, and praised the gymnast, joking that she would have pulled a muscle if she had tried the same thing.

“You are a marvel.. I was really going to pull a muscle…😂😂😂😳😳😳”

Nadia Comaneci won five Olympic gold medals throughout her career
