Nebraska volleyball is headed to Tampa!
The Huskers took down No. 3 seed Arkansas on Saturday night at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, winning in 4 sets. Nebraska reduced its deficit to five points in the first set, 26-24. They then went 2-0 up by 25-14 points in the next set.
But Arkansas won’t go down without a fight. The Razorbacks stood tall to win Set 3, 25-21. Arkansas then jumped out to a late lead but fell to Nebraska in a close 4 set, 25-23. The Huskers won on a service error by Arkansas.
The Huskers were led offensively by Merritt Beason, who finished with 19 kills, 11 digs and 8 blocks, nearly earning a triple-double in the process. Eight blocks is a career high for Bison. Harper Murray had a great evening as well, recording 15 kills and 12 digs.
