Saints fall on the road against (RV) Purdue-Fort Wayne

(Fort Wayne, Indiana) – The Thomas More men’s volleyball team took on Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday night (Jan. 5). Purdue Fort Wayne receives votes in the latest NCAA men’s volleyball rankings. Purdue defeated the Fort Wayne Saints in straight sets. Thomas More fell to a 1-2 overall record on the season.

  • Purdue Fort Wayne won the opening set by a score of 25 to 15.
  • Purdue-Fort Wayne led 2-0 after a 25 to 15 set.
  • Purdue Fort Wayne took the third set and the match by a score of 25 to 16.

  • First year Luke Duncan (Houston, TX/Memorial Senior) He led the Saints’ offense with six kills in the game. He also recorded a dig, an assist and an assist block.
  • graduate Conner Young (Springdale, Ohio/Princeton) Recorded a team-high 11 assists in the game to go with 4 digs in the contest.
  • junior Ben Albers (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) Recorded 4 kills which ties him for the Thomas More program record for career kills.

Thomas More returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 9) when they travel to Harrogate, Tennessee to take on No. 19 Lincoln Memorial. That game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
